Welcome to your new shopping cart!
Please refer to the manual for installation instructions on customising the connection to your database. Please use the DB Test file to check your database connection string. (Please ensure you delete the dbTest.asp file from the server once you have established a successful connection to your database)
Once you have established your database connection, log in to the administration area of your cart and change the store administrator password defaults:
Username: Admin
Password: password
Follow these steps:
- Start a web browser and load the eCart Administration System in your browser (http://localhost/eCartAdmin/ where localhost is the Domain name or IP Address of your web site).
- Log in using Admin and Password as the username and password (see above).
- Click Store Setup on the Left Menu bar (a full list of features becomes visible).
- Click Admin users in the list of sections under Store Setup.
- For the Admin user, click the Edit button.
- Change the name of the Admin user to something more difficult to guess eg. MyAdminz
- Change the password of the Admin user to something more difficult to guess eg. 22jjsulphur4
- Write down and store the Admin user name and password in a safe place!
- Click Update User.
